Terms of Service

Welcome to IREAD Lab. By creating an account or using ireadlab.com (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're creating or managing an account on behalf of a child, you're agreeing to these terms for yourself and confirming you have the authority to do so for that child.

What IREAD Lab is

IREAD Lab is an independent reading practice tool built to help Indiana third graders prepare for the IREAD-3 assessment. IREAD Lab is not the official IREAD-3 exam and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Indiana Department of Education. Practice on IREAD Lab is intended to support learning and does not guarantee any particular score or outcome on the official assessment.

Accounts

• Adult accounts (parents, tutors, teachers, and school administrators) must be created by someone 18 or older, using accurate information.
• Student accounts are created and managed by an adult — a parent, a teacher, or a school — who is responsible for that account's use.
• You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

Subscriptions and billing

IREAD Lab offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (currently Family, Educator, and Classroom), each with its own student-account limit, billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime through your account's billing portal; your paid access continues through the end of the period you've already paid for. Acceptable use

When using IREAD Lab, you agree not to:

• Attempt to access another person's account or data without authorization.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell the Service or its content.
• Use the Service for any purpose other than reading practice and the related account, billing, and reporting features we provide.
• Impersonate another person or provide false information when creating an account.

Our content

The practice questions, passages, design, and software that make up IREAD Lab are owned by IREAD Lab. We grant you a limited, personal license to use the Service for its intended purpose; we don't grant you any ownership rights in it.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

IREAD Lab is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we make no guarantee about a student's performance on the official IREAD-3 exam. To the fullest extent permitted by law, IREAD Lab is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service, or request account deletion, at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; we'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
